The court reporter for Douglas County District Judge James Gleason repeatedly used the slur “wetback” as she discussed a murder case involving a Hispanic defendant and a Hispanic victim, according to people who heard the remarks. Court reporter Sally Parrack, 60, has told others at the courthouse that she was fired this week, a month after the remarks were reported to state authorities.
