Commissioners Approve Court Reporter Raises

Nueces County judges hope commissioners’ approval of salary increases for court reporters Tuesday quickly attracts applicants. Commissioners agreed to raise the starting salary more than $16,000 to about $65,250. The increase also raises the salaries of current court reporters to adjust. “Based on the starting salary, all court reporters’ salaries were raised proportionally based upon their tenure so that all court reporters would be treated fairly,” 117th District Judge Sandra Watts said.
